    I was in Bali for the past week and i found myself constantly putting myself down. From the way my hair falls, my nails look and of course my skin fold. 8 out of 10 times, i find myself more and more unhappy after every photo is taken.     For the most part, I’m quite a strong minded women, and you will probably never see me this way unless you and I are close. I am always worried about the way people look at me or how they look at me and what is going through their minds. When in reality, no one actually really cares because everyone else is more concern about themselves.

    So Stop, you are not Kim K, no one is judging you, be happy in your own skin.


    Before you know it, you will be old and grey and you wish you appreciated your body more when you are younger.

    I know how it feels when you are scrolling your social media news feed and you see beautiful and sexy pictures of girls all over the internet and how they are so confident in flaunting their body on camera (because I know I do) and whenever I try to recreate the same pose or the same style, I fail miserably and I fall into this deep hole of self-hate and depression (I’m slightly exaggerating but you get what I mean)It’s sad that I allowed  social media to school me on their definition of beauty, and I turned myself into something ugly. When really, it was not needed.

    Don’t get me wrong, it’s totally fine to admire someone else’s beauty, but never let it get into your head. You are beautiful YOUR WAY.  99% of these images, are probably altered. Haven’t you heard? Face tune is a girl’s best friend.

  3. TALK ABOUT THE THINGS YOU LOVE
    You must be thinking it seems so easy for me to talk about the first 2 points above. And I know I know it is easier said than done. So let’s try something new shall we?While QC-ing (quality checking) your  photos, instead of pin-pointing that flap of skin around your tummy and those thighs kissing, how about we only talk about the things you love in the photo, no I am not talking about the background or the sky or your messy bedroom but the parts of your body that you love like how your skin is glowing, your skin has no scares, your butt looks perky and even how your cleavage is showing. HAHAH.

    But I am serious though.

  4. 1 THING JUST 1 THING ONLY
    I know this might sound really silly and redundant but if  a 5 year old can do it, so can you. I’m sure we all look at ourselves in the mirror every morning before we leave the house right?So before we step away from the mirror, look at yourself and praise yourself! WHAT?! You must be thinking I am crazy. I am not a self-absorbed, self-obsessed prick!

    I am very sure you are not, self affirmation  is just a little exercise to boost your mood up for the day, to give you that confidence and that mood lifter you need to get through the day. We all need it, I definitely need it. It is as simple as “Wow. my eyeliner looks on point today” or “My arms looks good in this top” “My legs are so tanned in this white shorts” and the list goes on. It can be anything. All you need to do is to open your mouth and say it out loud.

    REMEMBER: SAY IT OUT LOUD not just in your head. I don’t know what it is, but verbal affirmations makes such a difference in my life especially in my head game. I do not care if my mom walks past and thinks I’m crazy. All I know is that I am a happier, more confident person right after.

  5. DON’T BE DUMB 

    No, I’m not calling you dumb.I am talking about the decisions we make everyday of our lives and it is as simple as the food we choose to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For the most part, I eat pretty healthy but I LOVE FRIED CHICKEN especially BUFFALO WINGS! But when I am in my zone, I eat mostly healthy and I do it because that makes me feel good, I don’t JUST eat healthy because I want to look good. Of course, I want to look good. But whenever I eat an unhealthy meal consistently, my mood gets dramatically affected and I feel sluggish, lousy and for the lack of better word, fat.

    Of course I don’t say no to everything, I just don’t say yes all the time. It is a good lesson to learn to say NO to things every once in a while.  I definitely indulge with a little something whenever I can, like that bar of chocolate, or that piece of bread and even that 3rd cup of coffee.

    But you have to be aware of all these little nibbles, these little snacks will add up.

    BE YOUR OWN KIND OF BEAUTIFUL

My health is the most important above all else, and I actually felt better restricting myself because I knew it was helping me to stay in shape and meet the goals.
